The traditional South Indian wedding ceremony. Transport will be provided from the hotel.

Indian weddings are culturally quite different from Western weddings! The Tamil wedding ceremony centers around a sacred fire (homam) where various rituals are performed, typically lasting about 1-2 hours. Unlike Western ceremonies, it's completely normal and expected for guests to chat, take photos, and move around during the proceedings rather than remaining silently seated the entire time.

Dress Code:

Traditional Indian attire (compliments of our family). Men will receive a traditional Veshti and shirt, women will receive a traditional South Indian Silk saree with a blouse. Assistance for wearing these traditional attires is being organized at the Leela Palace Hotel.
